Outcomes

Edited

Here's a detailed explanation of the possible outcomes for your authenticity check order and what each one means.

Authentic Outcome

An "Authentic" outcome means that, in accordance with our authentication process, your item appears to be genuine. We're thrilled to share this positive news, and we're always happy to help!

Fake Outcome

A "Fake" outcome means that after a thorough check, our team has determined the item to be counterfeit. In the letter accompanying the certificate, you will also receive the outcome reason, which highlights the specific detail that our authenticators identified as fake.

If you have your doubts regarding this result, please check out this article about the Double-Check procedure.

Canceled Order

In some cases, the order can be canceled; usually, this happens due to the following reasons:

  • Sometimes we are unable to verify the item:

    • High-Risk Items: This includes requests to check very rare items that were limited editions, some vintage items, or pieces well known for having exceptionally good replicas.

    • Low-Quality Photos: Some items are extremely hard to examine without professional photos. For example, to give a verdict on watches or jewelry, the resolution of the pictures should be as high as possible. Without this criterion, we simply cannot be sure enough about the item's authenticity.

    • Lack of Required Photos/Details: Without all the needed details, we cannot check the item as thoroughly as our standards for authenticity checks require.

    If this is the result you got for your order, we will refund it automatically. To know more about refunds, please check out this article for our guest users and this for the registered users. For such an outcome, no certificate will be issued.

  • A cancellation request from the customer's side.

  • We automatically cancel orders if after 5 photo requests in the order our authenticators do not receive the photos that are needed for authentication;

  • Expired order: we automatically cancel orders if we made a photo request and have not received any response for 7 days from the moment when the request was sent;

No certificate will be issued either, and we will process a refund. To learn more about refunds, refer to the articles mentioned above.
